The Croatian society for fuels and lubricants works independently more than 40 years as not-for-profit and nongovernmental society NGO. One of the most important activities of the Society is organizing an international scientific symposium once a year, alternatively, on fuels or on lubricants. The publishing of the journal Fuels and Lubricants is the second important continuous activity of the Society.

GOMA is a member of the Croatian Engineers Association (HIS).

The Croatian society for fuels and lubricants is organizing its traditional 43rd expert symposium with international participation FUELS 2010 which is to be held in Šibenik (Solaris Hotels Resort) in October 14-15, 2010.

The symposium is to be held in the time of the conclusion of the negotiation process on Croatia's accession to the European Union, which will have great effects on all the segments of economy, as well as on the behaviour of economic subjects influencing the environment. One of the most significant negotiation chapters is related to ecological issues and compliance with stringent ecological criteria which the EU set for its member states. Reaching all these stringent ecology standards requires a lot of financial expenses by the member states.

SECOND NOTICE - INVITATION FOR PARTICIPATION presents the registered papers review.

Apart from papers per sections within the symposium Programme, there will be a Round table discussion focused on: The influence of EU directives on refining and fuel usage in Croatia.
